Reusables I LOVE!

In my post-My 2018 Minimalist Goals, one of my goals is to become more environmentally friendly. The way I intend on doing that is by reducing my human footprint. There are things we use every day that contribute to the waste in our landfills, which increase the carbon footprint. I am not going to get very scientific on you today, but the point is, there are ways we can decrease this, even just a little. One of the first steps I took toward this goal is to stop using plastic bags and replace them with a reusable alternative. Here are three reusables that I just LOVE!
1. Reusable Totes
There is no specific brand of reusable totes. However, I mostly use the big ones from TJ Maxx or Marshalls. You can buy them for $1, and they fit a lot. I mainly use them to carry my groceries. Usually, I can fit all my groceries in about 2 of these bags. Currently, I have about 4 of them, along with smaller canvas bags that were given to me. I believe the Marshalls bags are mostly made of plastic, but they last a long time. I've had mine for years, and they come in all types of designs! I also think it is an excellent alternative to gift bags (being only $1).

2. Reusable Mesh Produce Bags
Every time I go to the grocery store and I bring my produce to the register, the clerk is always amazed at my mesh bags. I get constant compliments on them, most of the time, the clerks have never seen them before. They think it is such a neat idea. Anyone who lives a zero-waste lifestyle knows about them, but I think more people should use them. The ones I use are called purifyou, and I purchased a set of 10 various sizes from Amazon, for a very reasonable price.
3. Reusable Snack Bags
I am no longer buying ziplock bags. My kiddos bring their lunch to school every day, therefore, we used a lot of these. You cannot imagine how often I was buying ziplock bags and in different sizes, and they can get expensive. Instead, I have found a reusable alternative. I use the Wegreeco Reusable Snack bags, found on Amazon. You get three different sizes for a reasonable price, and they are very easy to clean! My girls were a little resistant at first, but love them now! You can get many different designs too!
As you know, I would not recommend anything on this blog that I do not already use and love. These are things I use and I recommend anyone wanting to stop using plastic bags to give them a try. As always don't forget to subscribe and follow my blog. Leave me comments below, do you have any reusable products that you LOVE and want to recommend?
